Wicked Random Wednesday 4.30.14

Before we dive into version #I don’t know of Wicked Random Wednesday, I wanted to thank everyone for their congratulations on becoming a Girls Gone Sporty Ambassador. I truly appreciate everyone who reads this blog – whether you’ve been visiting the page since its inception (I know it has been so long ago…way back in November), comment on every single post, or just read the page occasionally, I appreciate the fact that you’re here and that you’ve taken the time to read what I have to say. I absolutely love the running/blogging community, and have connected with some really awesome people along the way!

So now that I’ve said that, it’s time for wicked random Wednesday!

• It has been raining nonstop up here in New England. And I hate it! I got back from vacay on Sunday, and it was raining. Yesterday, it rained. Today…rain! I can’t wait for some warmer, dryer weather!

• With that being said, for some reason my allergies have been KILLING me ever since I got home. The pollen counts have been astronomical up here in New England, despite the rainy weather. For the first time in I can’t remember how long, I can’t breathe, and I’ve had to take my inhaler twice today! Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to even attempt running because of this.

Instead of running, I’ve spent my spare time reading Runner’s World and taking my inhaler. Boo.

• I couldn’t help but snap a picture of the dogs wearing their cute little kerchiefs after we picked them up from the doggie resort on Monday morning. They were all fresh and clean clean when we picked them up. And the pet resort was even kind enough to wash their stinky blankets for us!

It’s hard photographing moving objects…err, Basset hounds!

• I’m so proud of my husband! I think I mentioned in my last post how JP and I spent a ton of time working out together while on vacation! He’s been running and working out for over two months now, and has lost approximately 30 pounds! I love him no matter what, but he has put a lot of effort into leading a healthier lifestyle, and I want to keep him around for as long a possible (and I know he feels the same way about me). He’s even taking about doing a 5-k with me at some point this year! We would probably run one on the beach because he has to run barefoot.

He’s always been sweet and wonderful, but JP is looking a lot slimmer these days.

P.S. JP would be so mad at me if he read this post right now. But I love him and am so proud of him, so I can’t help but tell it to the world!

Your turn: Name one thing that is driving you crazy this week, and one thing that has made you really happy!

Congrats on the ambassador! That is so awesome!!! Also big congrats to JP! Wow 😀 I am eagerly awaiting spring like weather here in Nova Scotia too. 😦 We’ve had cold and rainy weather for a while now. It’s hard to believe I got a sunburn a little over a week ago in Boston! lol.

GOOD JOB JP! I tell my Hus the same thing – I want to keep him around for as long as possible. He needs to lose about 30 pounds too, but I can’t get him to exercise! All in time though I suppose….I’m sick of rainy weather too! I just want sunshine and 60 degrees everyday all day! Is that really too much to ask?!?!?

One thing that is driving me nuts is that it’s been raining ALL wk!!!! Like why?! Where is spring?! One thing that makes me happy is that I get to race this weekend AND spend the weekend in Long Island!!!! Luckily, it will NOT be raining.

It has been raining non stop here too. We are having a Kentucky Derby party this weekend and I’m praying it will dry out! My allergies are out of control as well. I’m ready for summer!

Oh, I love Kentucky Derby parties! My sister’s bridal shower is this weekend, so I will be enjoying a mint julep there! 🙂

That is awesome for JP! Congrats to him on working so hard! Boy do your babies look cute. I wish my cats would wear kerchiefs. I think it would make them look more sophisticated. It’s been raining ALL week in PA too. I’ve been sick all week so it’s just been MISERABLE! That’s my wickedness for you!

Way to go JP, that is so awesome!! I am with you on the rain, my drive into Boston this morning was horrendous and of course, this is the week they were going to start our new deck and they can’t because of the rain. I know, first world problems, but still!! Have a great day and Happy May–let’s hope the weather starts acting like it soon! 🙂

Good job to your hubby! That’s awesome. One thing that’s been driving me crazy this week is our unfinished fire place. It’s such an eye sore in the living room. One thing that makes me happy is my coworker brought me all sorts of planted vegetables for my garden! Yah so excited. I hope your allergies get better

Broken toe is driving me a little nuts. It’s hard to run on a busted big toe, but I’m becoming a pro!
I’m happy in general so picking one thing is hard. I would say my happy thought for right now would be that I just finished one of my final papers! YAY 🙂
I look forward to following a fellow girls gone sporty blog!
