Well, another hump day has come and gone. I wasn’t even sure if I would get a chance to post today, because A) I’ve been playing catch up at work this week and have been working ridiculously long hours, despite returning from a trade show where I worked 12+ hours a day all last week and throughout the weekend, and B) have I mentioned I’m tired? Oh yeah, and C) I had an impromptu haircut today that my mom made for me and forgot to tell me about (even though I’m 30 and very capable of scheduling my own appointments)!
So if you’re not already exhausted from reading the previous paragraph, here’s my rant for the day on why I found this Wednesday to be extremely exhausting:
1) I picked up a head cold while I was away and have been suffering from lack of sleep because of it.
2) There’s not enough time in the day to do everything I need to.
3) After I picked the dogs up from the vet (where they stayed while we were away) yesterday, I was told that Bella has an infection in her armpits because of all the folds in her skin. I now need to give her medication twice a day and wipe her pits with baby wipes.
For anyone new to my blog, Bella is my Basset Hound, not my child that has folds in her skin around her arm pits. I feel sorry if there’s anyone out there with a child who does have this problem. It’s bad enough when it’s your dog! (My attempt at being funny)
4) I’ve continually eaten like crap since I stopped running. I just finished off any crap left in the house last night, so what did JP do? He went to the grocery store and bought more crap for me to eat (I of course know he did this just because he knows how much I love to eat crap, but STILL…). Eating crap is exhausting.
5) I haven’t gone running yet because I have this stupid head cold. I want to feel 100% when I start running again (hopefully this wknd). But not running has left me exhausted in itself.
I was scheduled to run the Celtic 5k in Worcester this weekend, but we’ll see…if it’s as cold as it has been I will NOT be running in that. Plus, see the paragraph above this one.
There you have it, folks! Luckily hump day is over, as is my rant about being exhausted! Thank you and goodnight!
Was your Wednesday a perky one or exhausting? And why?
I’m not what I’d call perky right now, but I wasn’t super productive yesterday either…unless you count signing up for races as productive.
Augh things have to get better! Poor little Bella. She is such a pretty girl, I hope her infection goes away soon and I hope YOU are feeling better soon. I don’t blame you- I would not feel like running a 5k in this weather!
I’ve been tired too. Hope you and Bella feel better soon!
Glad to see you posting again! Sounds like you’ve been working yourself to the max. Isn’t it crazy how not running makes you feel even more tired. I haven’t had a decent run in a couple weeks now. My hamstrings were bugging me and I’ve been dealing with a chest cold. I can barely run due to shortness of breath. I drives me NUTS. And like you, all I seem to do is eat crap! I desperately need a healthy body and a nice day to hit the pavement and feel like me self again. I’m hoping you get yours soon too!! π
Hope today is better than yesterday for you… If it makes you feel any better I have been eating like crap since I took a running break too, and now when I attempt running, I feel like there’s a 20-pound weight on my body. Or maybe I just really did gain 20 pounds.
Ugh! I hope you feel better ASAP! But don’t rush back into everything all at once or it will just keep you down and out! (Did I just sound like a mother there?!) And who cares if everything doesn’t get done!? Most of it will be there tomorrow anyhow. π
I hope you and Bella feel better π head colds are everywhere these days! I’m freaked :S
Hope you and sweet Bella get to feeling better soon! I don’t blame you for not running.. rest is super important when you have been that busy and sick.
1.) Your basset hound is a cutie, I love hound dogs (I have a beagle) even if they have armpit rolls. Hope she gets to feeling better soon.
2.) I hope you get to feeling better soon so you can run, do a lap for me. π
3.) Thanks for stopping by my blog, you have a new follower now.
Thanks for following me! I hope your surgery went well! I’ll have to come check out your blog again (I’m assuming you wrote about it).
Poor Bella π¦ I love seeing pictures of her though. I just want to hug her. Darn that junk food! I’ve been eating like crap lately too. I allow a ton of crap into my house and then regret it and then throw a junk food party with the kids so we can get rid of it. It’s awful.
Lol I hug Bella all the time but my husband tells me it’s too much – she’s become a little too attached to me because of it!
