Hello all! I’ve been gone for a while…this has probably been the longest time that I’ve gone without posting. Did ya miss me?
I’ve been gone on a business trip to Harrisburg, PA, for about a week. Although I worked long hours (12-13 hour days), I was lucky enough to be able to bring JP with me and spend some quality time with him.
The first full day that we had in Pennsylvania was the only day we got to have some “fun time” together, and drove down to Gettysburg for half a day, because my husband is a huge history freak buff.
I wish I took notes, but here are a few photos from our adventure.
And we had to take this picture since one of our hounds is named Humphrey Bogart!
Sadly, I was not in any of the photos because I am usually the woman behind the camera. Plus, it was so cold and windy when we went, I preferred to be standing closer to the car and taking the pictures, so I could hop right in there. JP wanted to get out at every statue, monument, and street sign. He’s so cute when he gets excited about history! I really enjoyed myself and being able to experience being on the soil that played such a huge role in American history.
It seemed super cold when we were down there, but we had a bigger surprise in store for us when we got back…it was 18 degrees when we were in Pennsylvania but now it’s going to be -1 here in Massachusetts tonight. Yuck!
In other news…my knee hasn’t bothered me for the past week, but I was so busy working that I didn’t have time to even think about running. We’d literally get up early in the morning, go to the trade show we were working at, get out at like 9:00, go back to the hotel and fall asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillow.
But now that I’m back home, I’m ready to at least attempt running again. If my leg starts bothering me even in the slightest I know I’ll have to stop (and probably make a doctor’s appointment), but I’m really itching to start running again!
Since I’m trying to catch up with everyone…tell me about something exciting that you did this past weekend!
Looks fun but cold! Last time I was in that area was ages ago but Joe and I found a converted 18th century house that is now a restaurant near Gettysburg for our 2nd dating anniversary dinner. It was really fun and unique 🙂
Yay, you’re back! I ran the Hypo half this weekend, but you already saw that I think, lol. Looks like a cool place to go for work. I see you guys had snow there too. I’m super ready to say good bye to ours!
Welcome back! I did miss you but it was comforting to know you were literally only like 20 minutes away from me… 🙂
Yay! Crossing my fingers that your knee holds up and you rock your next run. 🙂 Glad you’re back!
I had dinner with my dad at a local brewery. Mmm. I’m looking forward to taking the hubby soon (maybe even tonight, for his b’day!).
Oooh, happy b-day to the hubby!
Welcome back!
14 days until spring….now if only the first day of spring includes sunshine and NO SNOW!
